Villu director changes track!

Prabudeva who is directing the film 'Villu' will be a hero again.

When acting did not get him success, Prabudeva took to directing.  He was lucky that his films were successful. He is one of the leading directors in Telugu cinema.  His first directorial venture 'Pokkiri' was a thumping success.  Now he is directing 'Villu' with Vijay.

But he still longs to be a successful hero.  Now he has got another chance.  He seems to like the story narrated by Ravi Chakravarthy who produced 'Allaudin' with him.  He is likely to take up acting in the film after completion of 'Villu'.

He is also getting many chances to act in Telugu films.  He has got a chance to act in a Tamil film by Thankar Bachan.  So, he has decided to rest from directing films forsome time.  Even while directing films, he may act in films.

It is a good decision and we wish him all the best.

Vijay attends Art Exhibition

The 140th Gandhi Jayanthi celebration at the Raj Bhavan was a memorable event with His Excellency Governor Surjit Singh Barnala inaugurating the paintings of the Chennai-based painter A.P. Sreedhar. There were 18 paintings in all and each one of it had an apt title. The paintings exhibited released Gandhiji's conviction, defiance, affection, determination and perseverance among others. Speaking at the event, the Governor recalled his interactions with Mahatma Gandhi.

All the paintings had a commentary to it which makes the exhibition even more interesting. Noted actor Vijay, along his father and director S.A.Chandrasekar visited that exhibition and was in awe with Sreedhar's work.

Aamir Khan is a great fan of Vijay

Any guesses how Aamir Khan and Vijay could have been so close friends? Well, we have Murugadoss himself speaking about this in an interview. While Shooting for the Hindi Ghajini in Ramoji Film City, Vijay met Murugadoss and asked whether he could visit the shooting sets of Ghajini. With no space for any reluctance, Murugadoss had taken Vijay to the sets and got introduced him to Aamir Khan.

Fine! It was a great surprise for Vijay as Aamir recognized him so easily and hugged him. "I am your great fan. Me and my wife have really enjoyed your dance as we saw on television channels while we were staying in Chennai" said Aamir Khan. Both of them spent a great time there and shared experiences of shooting for their own projects…

Kuruvi -150 days of celebrating Vijay and Trisha

Vijay starrer 'Kuruvi' has managed a 150-day run across theatres in Tamilnadu. Produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin and directed by Dharani, the movie featuring Vijay, Trisha and Suman in the lead roles, witnessed mixed reviews at the box office.

However, thanks to the racy script and Vijay's popularity among the masses, the movie opened big and gradually settled down to do a decent business at the box office.

The cast and crew thanked the film-buffs for helping the movie complete a 150-day run. According to director Dharani, "I thank the producer Udhayanidhi Stalin, actor Vijay and the rest of my crew for the successes".

Post 'Gilli', Vijay-Dharani-Trisha and music composer Vidyasagar tag teamed for 'Kuruvi'. Fortunately, they succeeded in their attempt.
